What is adhd?
Life with ADHD can feel like you're constantly working twice as hard just to keep up. You may have endless ideas but struggle to follow through, feel overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities, procrastinate until the last minute, lose track of time, or find yourself emotionally drained from trying to stay organized. Even when you're successful at work or school, it can feel like you're barely holding everything together behind the scenes.
ADHD affects much more than attention. It influences executive functioning, emotional regulation, relationships, and self-confidence, often leading to frustration, shame, and burnout. Through counseling, we'll identify how your brain works best, develop practical strategies that fit your lifestyle, and help you move from simply surviving to feeling more in control, confident, and balanced.

how we can help
I believe successful ADHD treatment starts with understanding that you don't need to become a different person to thrive. Rather than focusing on what's "wrong," we'll identify how your brain works best and create strategies that align with your strengths. My approach combines evidence-based therapies, practical skill building, and nervous system regulation to help you reduce overwhelm, improve focus, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in your ability to navigate daily life.
Together, we'll work toward creating a life that feels more organized, balanced, and authentic, without relying on perfection or constant self-criticism.
-
Learn to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, overcome procrastination, reduce self-criticism, improve planning, and develop routines that support long-term success.
DBT techniques can improve emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and impulse control, particularly for clients who experience intense emotions alongside ADHD.
-
Develop practical strategies for organization, time management, prioritization, task initiation, planning, and follow-through. Together we'll build systems that are realistic and sustainable for your lifestyle.
-
Mindfulness helps strengthen attention, improve emotional regulation, reduce impulsivity, and increase awareness of distractions without judgment.
-
Many individuals with ADHD experience nervous system dysregulation that contributes to overwhelm, emotional reactivity, and difficulty focusing. Somatic techniques help increase body awareness, improve self-regulation, and create greater emotional balance.
-
Sleep, exercise, nutrition, movement, environmental organization, and healthy routines all play an important role in supporting ADHD symptoms. Therapy helps identify practical changes that can improve daily functioning.
