What is an antagonistic or narcissistic abuse?

Antagonistic relationships involve ongoing patterns of emotional manipulation, criticism, control, blame-shifting, and conflict that can leave you questioning yourself and your reality. These dynamics may include gaslighting, guilt-tripping, emotional withdrawal, unpredictable reactions, or cycles of affection followed by criticism and rejection. While narcissistic abuse is often associated with these behaviors, someone does not need to have a narcissistic personality disorder for a relationship to become emotionally harmful.

how we can help

Healing from psychological and emotional abuse isn't simply about changing how you think. It's about understanding what you've experienced, rebuilding trust in yourself, and reconnecting with your identity, values, and sense of autonomy.

Our approach centers on validation, education, and learning to recognize your own thoughts, feelings, needs, and values as separate from someone else's. We help you recognize relationship patterns which are hurting you, understand the effects of manipulation and emotional abuse, and rediscover who you are outside of the expectations, opinions, and behaviors of others.

You don't have to be leaving a relationship to benefit from counseling. Whether you're choosing to stay, considering leaving, navigating separation, or simply trying to understand what you're experiencing, this is a nonjudgmental space to explore your feelings and choices without pressure or an agenda.

Through psychoeducation, somatic awareness, emotional regulation, and empowerment-based work, we help you reconnect with your intuition, strengthen your boundaries, and develop the confidence to make decisions that reflect your values and what you truly want.

Our goal isn't to tell you what your relationship should look like. It's to help you feel grounded in who you are, trust your own judgment, and fully embody the choices you make for yourself.
